Although Leah grew up in a good home and had supportive parents, she felt a big void inside of her. She tried to fill that void by being in a relationship but that did not help. It was only after she received the presence of God, that she found the contentment she was yearning for.
“After matriculating, I moved to Johannesburg to look for a job. I met a man and we started a relationship. After three months, I fell pregnant. When I told my boyfriend that I was pregnant, he denied being the father of our unborn child. I was angry and frustrated.
After two years, my ex-boyfriend apologised and we dated again. I fell pregnant again, but discovered that he was married. I was sad and questioned why things were happening the way they were.
One of my colleagues had a pamphlet from the Universal Church which he gave to me. I read it and then decided to look for the church. That same day, I attended the service. The pastor prayed for everyone who was attending the service for the first time. I felt welcome.
I followed the chains of prayers every day for my spiritual development. I understood that only the presence of God could fill the void I had inside, so I decided to seek the Holy Spirit wholeheartedly. I am happy in a way I have never been before. I forgave the father of my children for the way he treated me. I am not angry or frustrated. My life is transformed and I do not lack anything because God is with me,” said Leah.
