You shall not come in here!
"And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus, where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land. But the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, "You shall not come in here!" Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the City of David) 1 Chronicles 11:4-5 (NKJV)
In other words, if you come, you will not come out of here alive. There is no way for you to make your way through our gates. We will sort you out before you even come close to us.
Knowing the Jebusites were ready to defend their city, King David was aware that the mission would be dangerous and risky.
Two opponents ready to defend their objectives, one to conquer the stronghold and the other not to let it go. "You shall not come in here!” Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion…"
David headed to the battlefield, moved by one objective, to take possession of what had already been promised to the people of Israel—the Promised Land.
The fulfilment of this promise serves as a reminder that God's words will indeed never fail to meet their purpose in order to make His Kingdom prevail in the lives of those who put His words into action.
Nowadays, that specific stronghold can be given various names ... a house, a car, marriage, family, health, prosperity and a fulfilled life. Today's Jebusites (satan and his demons) are keen to send the same message to those willing to change their lives ... "You will not come here," "You will not enjoy this or that”, “Your life will remain as it is … in ruins".
The story repeats itself, one arguing "I will do it" and the other party saying, "You will not even come close!"
Who will win the confrontation? Well, it will depend on you … if you are like David, who was willing to believe and to be taller than the barriers. If, like David, you put your life into God's hands, determined that you will also take possession of what God has in store for you, then nothing will be impossible for you … Nothing!
God bless you all
