The second meeting of Godllywood Self Help explored women's purpose and encouraged them to embrace their role and to raise their standards in all that they undertake. The group offers guidance and advice to help women discover aspects of their lives which need to be improved or changed to enable them to live as fulfilled and successful women of God.
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) once again hosted one of the largest Good Friday services in South Africa, filling the Ellis Park Stadium to capacity with overflow crowds in the adjacent precinct. Almost 90,000 Church members and their guests gathered for the annual event to have their lives restored through the resurrection of Jesus.
Exhibiting at the Johannesburg Wedding Expo on 11 and 12 March 2017 gave the Bulletproof Marriage team the opportunity to share wisdom from the international best-seller Bulletproof Marriage: Your shield against divorce with the more than 8,000 visitors who attended the event at the Ticketpro Dome in Northgate.
The first meeting of Godllywood's self-help group encouraged women to discover their self-worth as another lesson in the programme of equipping women to invest in themselves by identifying areas for personal growth and offering them skills to make changes to transform their lives.
For the sixth consecutive year Women in Action's trained trauma counsellors participated in the annual 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence (25 November - 10 December), by offering men and women the opportunity to speak about their traumatic history of abuse and begin the journey from victim to victor.
The Godllywood self-help group highlights a different aspect of a Spirit of Excellence at its monthly meetings, encouraging women to embrace exemplary standards and develop admirable qualities in themselves.
