The Question!

Does what you are doing today eliminate the possibility of you losing your salvation?

The desire to go to Heaven, have a better life, overcome problems and achieve their dreams has motivated people from all walks of life throughout the world to go to church. Some will drive from far distant places or subject themselves to a long wait for public transportation in order to accomplish what they deem so important— the salvation of their souls.

There are those who will face tough weather conditions, the opposition of family members and criticism of friends, but they do not give up going
because of the desire to develop their relationship with God. I know quite a number of members whose families chased them away from home just because of their wish to seek God.

They changed their lifestyles, but later on went back to their old ways! It all starts with what people consider to be “small sins” … a little grudge, a white lie, a tiny bit of malice. Well history has proven that “little sins” have the tendency develop with the snowball effect. They
grow and bring on terrible consequences. Thus, you should ask yourself: Does what you are doing today eliminate the possibility of you losing your salvation?

There are those, on the one hand, who are making so many sacrifices to “follow” the Lord Jesus, yet, on the other hand, they are compromising their
salvation with practices that are certain to erase their names from the Book of Life. “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments. I will not blot his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” (Revelation 3:5 MEV)

The end of your life could be closer than you think or much further away than you expect. You might die tonight or live for another 50, 70 or 90 years. As a matter of fact, it does not really matter. What counts is that when you die, your salvation is in good shape and therefore leads you into the Kingdom of God.

So be watchful and guard your salvation at all times, no matter what. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:6 MEV)

God bless you.
