Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, "One of them, named Cleopas, answered Him, "Are You the only foreigner in Jerusalem who does not know what has happened there in these days?" (Luke 24:18 MEV)
The truth is meant to open the eyes of those who act without considering the consequences of their actions. It is also a revelation when people are doing what they judge to be right and yet find they are making bad decisions.
God fulfilled His promises to Abraham when He establish his descendants in the land of Canaan. Israel ceased being slaves and roaming the desert to take possession of their inheritance, as promised by the Most High. In return, He simply demanded obedience to His commandments and statutes, and faithfulness to His covenant.
I write to you as a wise man based on a wise scripture, as one who has seen very closely many foolish men of God falling off their faith Matthew 25. As usual, the foolish ones always choose the temptation over the "escape" provided by God.
