True or false
The world is full of popular sayings and proverbs. Some are so religious that they directly contradict the Word of God, but are believed to be true.
Take a look at a few examples:
1 – "We are all God’s children." True or false? FALSE: look what the Word of God says:
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1.12-13
2 – "All paths lead to God." True or false? FALSE: look what the Word of God says: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14.6
3 – "Where the name of God is, there He will be present": True or false? FALSE: look what the Word of God says:
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. Matthew 18.20 4 – "Little is much when God is in it." True or false? FALSE: look what the Word of God says:
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10.10
5 – "God may be tardy, but He does not fail." True or false? FALSE: look what the Word of God says:
The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay… 2 Peter 3.9 HCSB
In light of the above, we see that, unfortunately, people live under a blanket of lies that are always reinforced by many emotions.
However, this does not apply to us because we do not live in a religious or emotional way, but by intelligent faith.
