The circle of misery and misfortune
God told us to say: "I am Strong". This is not a matter of you just being reminded about it, but a matter of you understanding what you have to do to change your life.
To be strong means not to give in to feelings of weakness, doubts and fear. To be strong means not to commiserate with your ups and downs.
Unfortunately, nowadays, there are too many religious institutions teaching or suggesting self-pity—what a trap! A trap, because self-pity is not only a fruitless exercise, it also neutralises the power of faith, keeping the person in a circle of misery and misfortune.
"So He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?"
And he said, "From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:21-23
The father of the child was asking for pity. Observe the answer Jesus gave him. "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." In other words, pity has nothing to do with faith! Pity is a fountain of emotions and feelings that offers no solution and changes nobody's life.
That is why Jesus pointed out that what offers a solution is to have faith, not pity. I am not writing about one more option, I am writing about the only way to change your life—Faith!
Faith has nothing to do with feelings, but is rather an assurance that moves the hands of God. It sorts the impossible out, it brings what is beyond reach within our grasp and if you want to achieve your victory, stop going after people who will feel sorry for you and start immediately to use your faith to change your life.
It does not matter how far away you have drifted from your objectives, it is never too late to start again!
Therefore, I am inviting you who are reading this article to take the first step towards changing your life, that is, to engage in a chain of prayer that will empower you to transform your life.
God bless you
