Persistence is the key

"I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Luke 11:8- 10 NKJV

How long will it take for me to receive the answers to my prayers? How many times do I have to pray in order to be answered? We cannot really be sure how often we have to pray in order to be answered.

In the scripture above, Jesus gives the key that unlocks the door to answers – persistence!

It is rather demotivating when we see that our plans are not working out the way we expected, especially as the going gets tougher and the realisation dawns that we’re far from Persistence is the key our goals. Jesus is telling you: Do not give up on your dreams! Ask, seek and knock!

If the man who woke up to knock on his friend’s door had left after only knocking a couple of times, the friend would not have stood up and opened the door. Consequently, he would not have received the bread he needed.

You might have reason enough to give up on your dreams. After all, you fought fiercely to achieve your goals, but did not even get close to accomplishing them -- or so you think!

There is a blessing, a miracle waiting for you out there. The forces of evil are busy working to make you think and feel otherwise. Stand up right now and say to yourself: “I am not going to give up on my dreams!"

Although we do not know how many prayers we have to say before we will be blessed, the key is: Keep going no matter what! There is an answer from God to change your life. Take hold of it. It is yours!

 God bless you,
