I am strong
"Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, 'I am strong.' " Joel 3:10
Almost everyone has some type of weakness. It is a fact! But to have a weakness does not mean that one is weak.
Weakness becomes real when the person accepts the idea of his weakness and surrenders to it. Think of the guy who cannot write English. If he accepts that he cannot do it, then he will never be able to write English. However, if he decides to become a good writer, and applies himself to learning English grammar skills, then he will certainly make it happen.
The same principle can be applied in any area of your life, such as your marriage. If you decide to become a good husband, and apply yourself to achieving it, you are going to become a great husband and consequently, a great father as well.
Life might be treating you badly, things might be tough at the moment, but you already realise that something must be done to have the challenge sorted out.
It may sound easy, but it is not. On the contrary, it is very hard. Hard because that means you will have to move out of your comfort zone, stop depending on the help of others and go out there to do what needs to be done to change your life.
The first step towards change is not to accept the weakness in you. Do not agree to it. Confront the negative thoughts that pop up in your mind to weaken you and never give in.
Stop thinking you are unworthy, weak, useless … that you are not able and claim your victory! All those testifying here in our Stop Suffering newspaper had or still have some sort of weakness, but they have neither accepted it nor given in to it. They are the weak ones of today who say, "I am Strong!"
Therefore, put your faith into action now. Say also "I am strong" and act like a winner!
Allow me to repeat myself once more. It will be impossible for your life to remain the same once you are determined to put your faith into action.
God bless you,
